Sam has 20+ years of experience in corporate finance and loan capital markets. For the past 8 years Sam has been leading a team at Scotiabank that originates, structures, executes and distributes syndicated loans for medium-size and large corporates and private equity funds in Latin America and the Caribbean, with a particular focus on acquisition finance in the telecom, infrastructure and power sectors. Scotiabank’s extensive platform in the region provides the team the flexibility to underwrite or arrange financings in a multitude of currencies including but not limited to US Dollars, Mexican Pesos, Chilean Pesos, Colombian Pesos, Peruvian Soles and Brazilian Reais.
Prior to joining Scotiabank in 2007, Sam worked in the private equity coverage group of a large European bank, focusing mainly on U.S. LBO financings. Sam has a Master in Finance from ESLSCA in Paris and a BA in Mathematics & Economics from the University of Paris XII.
