Mr. Villarreal has worked in the Investor Relations and Sustainability office of several companies within Grupo Salinas since 2013. Between 2006 and 2013, he held several management and financial positions in companies in the insurance, pension and retail sector, also within Grupo Salinas. Previously, he worked in Grupo Elektra’s Budget and Corporate Finance between 1997 and 1998, before joining the Investor Relations area between 1998 and 2006.
Mr. Villarreal holds an MBA from the Instituto Tecnologico Autonomo de Mexico (ITAM) and a Bachelor degree in Business Administration from Trinity Western University in Vancouver, Canada. He also holds specialized studies in Social Responsibility from the Instituto Tecnologico de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey and in Insurance from ITAM. Mr. Villarreal also made an executive course in the Financial Frontier at the Mendoza College of Business in Notre Dame University and studies in securities markets in the Canadian Securities Institute.
