Managing Director Global Infrastructure Group
Ian Dixon is Managing Director and Analytical Head of the EMEA and APAC, Global Infrastructure & Project Finance Group at Fitch Ratings based in London joining in Feb 2016. In this role, Mr. Dixon oversees ratings coverage of the energy, renewables, transportation, social infrastructure, sports and whole business securitization sectors.
The Global Infrastructure & Project Finance Group is responsible for providing credit ratings and research for debt instruments in the infrastructure and project finance sectors globally including the United States, Latin America, Europe, Asia, and Australia.
Previously, Mr. Dixon spent five years at Investec, holding senior positions in Debt Capital Markets and in the Project Finance team (mainly focused on renewables). Prior to Investec, he spent nine years at Ambac Assurance UK Ltd, running the Infrastructure Team (focused on PPP/PFI, WBS and Sports) and latterly as Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Dixon began his career at NatWest where he held a number of senior roles, mainly in their Global Project Finance team, during his twenty-one years with the firm (focused on mining, oil and gas as well as power). Mr. Dixon qualified as an Associate of Chartered Institute of Bankers.
