Carina Pather is a seasoned banker in the Resources and Energy sector in the Absa Corporate and Investment Bank. Her responsibilities include maintaining and growing relationships in the mining, metals, minerals, oil, gas and chemical industries. She has worked in corporate and investment banking for more than 15 years in a variety of areas, including credit, leverage finance, and client coverage. After beginning her banking career at Absa as a recent graduate, she moved onto Nedbank and First National Bank, before returning home to Absa in 2020.
Carina holds a BCom degree, Digital Leadership Certificate and an MBA. Carina is an avid learner and is always eager to take on a new challenge. This is evident in her pursuits of a new field of study: energy leadership. She is currently a Masters of Management (Energy Leadership) candidate at Wits Business School in Johannesburg.
