Yiğit joined HSBC in 2010 as the Regional Head of Sovereign Wealth Funds for MENA focusing on providing investment banking coverage to the Middle East SWFs
In addition to his coverage responsibilities for the Middle East SWFs, Yiğit took on the additional role of Head of Global Banking, Abu Dhabi in 2013
During 2016 he was promoted to Head of Global Banking, UAE which included Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Northern Emirates and a large portfolio of corporate clients transferred from the Commercial Banking segment to the Global Banking, UAE team
In August 2017 he was promoted to Co Head of Global Banking for the GCC region
In November 2018 he was appointed as Head of Wholesale Banking, Turkey
Prior to that, Yiğit worked at Citigroup for over 11 years based in London and Dubai covering the Middle East SWFs as well as private equity funds in other emerging markets regions such as CEE, Turkey and Russia
His transaction experience includes originating and executing over 50 transactions for governmental and institutional clients across advisory, debt and equity capital markets
Yiğit is a qualified accountant having worked at Coopers Lybrand between 1995 and 1997 and holds an MBA degree from New York University, Stern Graduate Business School
