Wafic Ghanem joined Metito in mid-2013 as Chief Financial Officer. He brings with him more than 25 years’ experience and an extensive knowledge of the Middle East, China, Japan and Korea.
Prior to joining Metito, Wafic was working for 20 years with Schlumberger Group. His last position was Finance Director for the Northern Asia Region. During his long tenure with Schlumberger, he worked in various positions including Product Group Controller -Artificial Lift Product Group Manufacturing Operations, Group Financial Controller (Saudi, Kuwait, Bahrain and Pakistan) and Controller for North Africa and East Mediterranean. Prior to that, he held the position of Assistant Audit Manager at Price Waterhouse in Abu Dhabi.
A highly experienced finance officer, Wafic has achieved significant accomplishments at multinational levels, demonstrating strengths in financial planning and enhancing profitability and return on invested capital.
In his current role, Wafic put in practice his expertise in handling diversified businesses in large organizations and development of systems and processes to maximize business performance.
Wafic holds Business Administration (Dstinction) and a Master of Business Administration – Finance degrees from the American University of Beirut, and he is a US Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
