Vinod Sadhwani, a seasoned finance professional possesses over 25 years of experience in diverse Industries such as Utilities, Real Estate, Manufacturing, Trading, Advisory, Audit and Accounting in various positions across organizations in India and Oman. He currently heads the Corporate Finance division at Nama Holding (formerly, known as Electricity Holding Company) since 2008, driving the financing initiatives for the group covering 10 electricity subsidiary companies involved in Electricity transmission, distribution, and supply. Under his leadership, the Group has successfully raised funds of $ 5.5b across multiple sources / markets / tenors including the first and the largest Oman corporate bond under Rule 144A/Reg S (for OETC) and International Sukuk (For Mazoon), listed at the Ireland Stock Exchange. Vinod is a rank-holder Chartered Accountant from India, CPA from USA, Certified Treasury Professional from Association of Finance Professionals USA and MBA from University of Wales, UK.
Nama Holding, formerly known as Electricity Holding Company, registered in the Sultanate of Oman on 19 October 2002, is a joint stock company. Nama Holding started its commercial operations on 16 September 2003. Nama Holding holds share in ten companies involved in the procurement, generation, transmission, supply and distribution of electricity and water related services. It holds 99.99% of the shares of the Government in eight subsidiary companies in the electricity sector and 98.10% of the shares of Dhofar Power Company. It also runs a training and competency development company called Nama Institute for Competency Development (NICD). The operations of all 10 subsidiaries are spread across Oman, covering the needs of the entire country.
