Chief Financial Officer
Stephen Ridlington is Tabreed’s Chief Financial Officer, a position he previously held between 2009 and 2011. In his first tenure with Tabreed, Stephen led the company through its AED 3 billion recapitalization and designed a new financial strategy to ensure the company’s long‐term profitability and sustainability. Before re‐joining Tabreed in February 2015, Stephen was the CFO for London‐based Buried Hill, a private upstream oil and gas exploration company, where he helped secure new private equity financing for oil field development, and co‐designed the investor relations program. Stephen’s international experience spans many countries and over three decades, including five years spent with Russian‐based TNK‐BP, where he designed, led, and implemented a corporate restructuring program including consolidating USD $100 billion of oil and gas assets, $20 billion in turnover, $8 billion of assets and $5 billion of cash flow within a new Russian holding company, enabling “best‐in‐class” Corporate Governance in Russia. He also secured investment grade credit rating from all the leading credit rating agencies and led the introduction of a $4 billion capital markets program. Prior to that, he worked for BP for 17 years in various leadership capacities. Stephen has been a member of the Association of Corporate Treasurers since 1992. He graduated with honors in Mathematics and Economics from the University of Sussex, and holds a Masters of Philosophy, Economics with Mathematics from the University of Oxford.
