Samir Gupta joined Mashreq Bank in 2016 as the Head of Financial Institutions, Origination and Client Coverage. He has overall responsibilities for the Financial Institutions sector at Mashreq.
Samir joined from Standard Chartered Bank where he spent 3 years as the Head of banks Segment (Financial Institutions) – Africa, Corporate & Institutional Clients.
Previously, Samir spend over 20 years at Citibank in various senior management positions in both Asia & Africa.
Samir is an FI Specialist and has experience across Client Coverage, Transaction banking sales and product and Capital Markets originations.
He has an MBA from the Fisher School of Business, Ohio State University and is married with 2 daughters.
