Rodrigo Carvalho is a member of the corporate department in the firm’s New York Office and a partner of Winston’s Brazilian affiliate in São Paulo. Over the last 15 years, Rodrigo has advised clients on international debt and equity offerings, cross-border M&A, and corporate finance matters involving Brazil and other parts of Latin America. Rodrigo also supports Winston’s US and international offices on matters relating to Brazil and the region in areas such as antitrust, compliance, disputes, investigations, and sanctions. He is admitted both in New York and in Brazil. He was previously Bank of America’s Head of Investment Banking Legal in Brazil. Rodrigo has extensive international transactional experience across a broad spectrum of industries, having advised clients on many ESG aspects, especially sustainability development goals, social integration, and board diversity. He participated in the first ever sustainability linked bond issuance in the Americas, emerging markets, and pulp & paper sector for Suzano. He has also advised major players in Public-Private-Partnership (PPP) projects in Latin America in the Energy, Infrastructure, Mining, Water, Wastewater, and Sanitation industries.
