Ricardo Navarro

Biography

Mr. Ricardo Navarro is Co-Head of Latin American Investment Banking at Itaú based in New York, where he oversees the bank’s Fixed Income activities in the region. Mr. Navarro has been with Itau for over 8 years, initially from 2010 to 2016 when he led Latin American Debt Capital Markets and in his current role since 2019. Mr. Navarro also spent over 5 years in the buy-side, most recently from 2016 to 2019 as the portfolio manager of the Emerging Markets Credit Opportunities Fund at Noctua Partners, an Emerging Markets focused asset manager, and from 2007 to 2009 as a Credit Analyst at Stark & Roth, a multi-strategy US-based hedge fund. With over 18 years of experience in the financial markets, Mr. Navarro has successfully invested and traded Emerging Markets corporate and sovereign bonds and has advised Latin American issuers on over $30 billion of capital market transactions; including recent international bond issuances for sovereign issuers such as the Republic of Chile, Peru, Colombia, Paraguay and Uruguay, as well as corporate transactions across the region, syndicated and structured loans, project financings and private placements. Mr. Navarro holds a BS in Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering from Cornell University, an MBA from Columbia University and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
