Ravi Bhatia is a Director and Lead Analyst, in S&P Global Ratings’ Sovereign and International Public Finance Ratings Group, and focuses on EMEA Emerging Markets, in the Middle East, Africa, and the CIS.
Ravi has covered a number of advanced and emerging sovereigns including Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Iraq, Egypt, Russia, Ukraine, Nigeria, Kenya, the UK, and South Africa, amongst others. Ravi has been at S&P since January, 2010, and is based in London.
Before joining S&P Global Ratings, Ravi was Head of Country Risk, Asia, at Standard Bank, based in Hong Kong.
Prior to Standard Bank, Ravi worked at the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU), Economist Group, as Senior Economist in their country analysis and forecasting unit.
Ravi holds an MPhil from Cambridge University and an MSc (Econ.) from the London School of Economics.
