Qaisar Zaman

Biography

Qaisar is a founding director of OIM. Qaisar has 30 years of experience in investment banking and private equity, focusing on transactions in Europe, the Middle East, North America and Asia. He has led debt financings in excess of USD 25 billion, and invested and exited infrastructure investments in the UK and US totalling USD 7 billion. His last role was managing oil and gas public infrastructure projects on behalf of the Sovereign Wealth Fund in Bahrain. One of his key achievements was founding Arcapita's Infrastructure Investments business, where he, as a founding member, led some of its largest and most successful investments and exits totalling circa USD 5 billion. In his previous role as a General Manager, Investments at the Oil & Gas Holding Company of Bahrain, Qaisar was responsible for originating new direct investments. He successfully led all of its long-term borrowings including the company's debt issuance in both the bank and capital markets as well as several syndicated facilities and project finance debt for various portfolio projects. Prior to this, Qaisar has held vice president roles at J.P Morgan Chase & Co and the Chase Manhattan Bank. Qaisar holds a Master of Business Administration Degree in Finance from Arizona State University, USA and a Master of International Management Degree in International Finance degree from Thunderbird School of Global Management, USA. He also holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from University of Bahrain.
