Biography

Patrick Tan is the Head of Banking of RGE, a global group of companies in resource-based manufacturing industries operating in Indonesia, China, Brazil and Canada, with over US$30 billion in assets and a workforce of over 60,000 people. Based in RGE’s global headquarters in Singapore, Patrick leads a team of finance professionals across Southeast Asia and the Middle East, overseeing RGE’s banking relationships. He also serves as an Independent Director on the board of KEXIM Global Singapore, a subsidiary of Korea Eximbank.

An established senior banker with more than 25 years of banking experience, Patrick has held senior management and leadership positions at Asian, European, and Middle Eastern financial institutions. He was Regional Head of Asia & Country Manager at Arab Banking Corporation (Bank ABC); Head of Coverage, Asia Pacific for BNP Paribas Fortis; and Head of Coverage, South East Asia for Credit Agricole Corporate & Investment Bank.

Patrick has extensive knowledge of the regional markets across Asia Pacific with strong corporate and investment banking experience covering public institutions, sovereign wealth funds, large conglomerates, and Multinational Companies. In addition, he is equipped with a broad range of experience in treasury products, credit lending, syndicated finance, transaction banking, project & structured finance, M&A advisory, and Debt Capital Markets.

Patrick holds an honours degree in Business from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.
