Mohan is a member of the DBSA’s Group Executive Committee, with accountability for pan-African deal origination/client management, having concluded over 70 projects with ZAR60Bn+ ($3.5bn) in the past five years. His teams cover all economic and social infrastructure sectors with transactions concluded in over 15 countries. Mohan joined the DBSA in 2014 as the Group Executive: Strategy, responsible for corporate strategy, research, marketing and strategic partnerships.
Mohan was the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the SADC Development Finance Centre in 2022 and has supported the World Economic Forum, OECD and United Nations in initiatives related to sustainable financing and infrastructure development. Mohan has served as an associate professor of development finance at the University of Cape Town’s Graduate School of Business since 2018.
Mohan holds an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management in Chicago, USA and an MSc in Global Finance from New York University Stern School of Business. He earned a BA (Honours) in Economics and Applied Mathematics from Northwestern University in Chicago, USA.
