Biography

Kona Nkanza is a Vice President in the Investments division of the Africa Finance Corporation (AFC), one of Africa’s leading Infrastructure Finance providers. Based in Lagos - Nigeria, Kona’s main areas of focus at AFC are;

• Sovereign Lending – Where he provides structured finance for key infrastructure projects led by governments,
• Corporate & Trade Enabling Finance – where he looks at providing Structured Debt and trade & working capital solutions to African corporates.

Kona has 13 years of Finance and banking experience and has worked on Sovereign and Corporate transactions across the African continent.

Prior to joining AFC, Kona was a VP and Head of Debt for Zambia and was part of the Africa Debt Team at Absa Bank.
