Derin Altan concentrates on the capital markets, especially in equity and debt offerings, as well as the mergers and acquisitions of listed companies. He has represented both issuers and underwriters in the public offerings and projects regarding shares, sukuk, structured debt products, Eurobonds derivative instruments and over-the-counter products, foreign securities and intermediary institutions. Derin worked on numerous IPO transactions including Hepsiburada, Başkent Doğalgaz, Enerjisa, Medical Park, Şok Marketler, Mavi and Aselsan.
Derin holds “Advanced Level Capital Markets License” and “Corporate Governance Rating License” issued by the Association of Capital Markets Intermediary Institutions Association of Turkey. He was a member of the audit board in the Corporate Governance Association of Turkey between 2012 and 2013, and he was a member of the board of directors of the Association of Capital Markets Professionals. Derin speaks regularly at industry conferences and seminars relating to equity and debt capital markets as well as financing and M&A transactions of public companies. Derin also appears as a guest lecturer in universities and industry groups.
He is currently ranked as “Leading Individual” by Legal 500 and as Band 2 lawyer by Chambers and Partners’ Capital Markets Turkey section. Derin holds an M.A. degree in economics and finance from Boğaziçi University and law degree from Istanbul University.
