Colin FitzRandolph

Biography

Colin is Director on the Actis Energy & Infrastructure team and is responsible for originating and managing investments in Africa. Colin has 7 years of experience in the power sector and 14 years of experience in emerging markets. Prior to joining Actis, Colin was a Commercial Manager at Mainstream Renewable Power where he helped structure Mainstream’s involvement in South Africa’s Renewable Energy Independent Power Producer program. Colin played a critical role in securing PPAs and arranging the project financing for 610MW of South African wind projects that were acquired by Lekela Power, the Actis pan-African renewable energy platform in which Mainstream is a minority partner.

Before Mainstream, Colin was a Vice President at Goldman, Sachs & Co. from 2005 to 2011 where he was a founding member of the International Equity Derivatives team assisting institutional investors manage risk and enhance performance with listed and over-the-counter derivative products.

Colin holds an MBA with distinction from the University of Cape Town and a BA in Economics, Magna Cum Laude, from Saint Lawrence University.
