Chief Director Macroeconomic Policy

Catherine Macleod is the Chief Director of Macro Economic Policy at the National Treasury. Her unit is responsible for considering Macro Policy areas such as Monetary Policy, Growth and the Exchange Rate, as well as Labour Market Policy. She has overseen work on both the Minimum Wage and the Employment Tax Incentive. Catherine has worked for 16 years as a Macro and Financial Markets Economist, eight years of which were in London. She holds her Masters in Economics from Pompeu Fabra and is particularly interested in Behavioural and Experimental Economics.
