As a State of Oman owned regional player in the oil and gas mid stream sector, Orpic (Oman Oil Refineries and Industrial Petroleum Company) boasts approx. US$ 10 billion of industrial assets and exports fuel or petrochemical products in more than 20 countries.
Since April 2007, Alex(andre) is the head of group treasury of Orpic which includes corporate and project financing as well as insurance and enterprise risk management.
Alexandre also spent 11 years of his career in the Netherlands where he served as Group Treasurer of Sigmakalon, a regional leader in specialty chemicals owned by Bain Capital LLP, then as EMEA treasurer of PPG Industries, the NYSE listed, global leader in quality paints.
Alexandre joined the French utility giant Engie in 1997 as a corporate development officer, then moved to growing responsibility positions to become the global head of corporate funding.
Prior to joining the utilities sector, Alexandre had several senior management positions in the investment banking industry where he advised listed or unlisted MNCs on equity and bond offerings and closed some highly regarded M&A transactions.
Alexandre is a graduate from ESSEC school of management, and also holds a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from ESTP in Paris.
