Biography

Alexander Nikolaev, the President of JSC “INTECO’, has over 20 years of investment management experience in real estate and private equity.

Alexander has unique industry and sector knowledge in the field of real estate, construction and development. He was directly involved in structuring, management and successful realization of various large-scale projects with both public and private capital with total investment in excess of $ 2.5 bn., including multiple foreign direct investments in Russia. Alexander was also directly responsible for creation and further management (over 15 years) of the first public company with western listing and focus on real estate in Russia – “Eastern Property Holdings Ltd.” (SIX: EPH). Since IPO of EPH on the Swiss Exchange in 2003, professional team led by Alexander has successfully completed several public offerings (including both equity and debt instruments) for almost $ 1 bn. Proceeds thereof have been successfully invested in a wide range of projects both in Russia and Western Europe.

Alexander – a recognized expert in Russian real estate industry – is involved in various public initiatives focused on industry’s interests, e.g. including membership at (i) the Expert Council of the Transport and Construction Committee of the State Duma, (ii) the Expert group for “Urban and territorial planning” at the Russian Chamber of Commerce, (iii) the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs. Since February 2019, Alexander joined the group of experts at the Commission for Housing Policy of the Public Council at the Russian Ministry of Construction Industry, Housing and Utilities Sector (heading the Commission’s efforts in preparation of suggestions for the development of social infrastructure as part of complex residential developments, including public-private partnership mechanisms).

Alexander graduated from MGIMO University (Moscow State Institute for Foreign Affairs, University) with a degree in international law.
