Alberto Akikazu Ono holds a Ph.D. in Metallurgy from The University of Tokyo and a M.Sc. in Metallurgical Engineering from the University of São Paulo.
Before joining Usiminas, he worked in other Mining & Metallurgy companies such as Aços Villares SA, CBMM, Votorantim Industrial and Votorantim Siderurgia.
He joined Usiminas in 2009 as Corporate Director of Planning and Management Control, going through Director of Economic and Financial Planning before being appointed to the current position of Chief Financial Officer.
