Dr. Abbas Taleb is a business visionary with hands-on experience in automating multi-billion dollar home finance operations. He is a strategic executive with more than 25 years of experience and has a proven ability to lead large-scale change initiatives as well as drive business growth through process, organization and workflow redesign.
Dr. Taleb was responsible for establishing the largest home finance company in the Kingdom. He is currently the acting CEO for Dar AlTamleek where he has served as the COO or CIO for the past 12 years. He has played a major role in formulating and executing the first mortgage portfolio purchase in the Kingdom. Dar AlTamleek has completed more than SR 6 billion in secondary market sales to a number of major banks in the Kingdom. To properly recognize income from the portfolio sales, Abbas has helped develop a proprietary Mortgage Servicing Rights (MSR) system which is used in the accounting treatment of income from sold portfolio in the secondary market.
